ReadWriteWeb Article on Sensr.net

ReadWriteWeb’s Richard MacManus just wrote an excellent, detailed article on Sensr.net — and it’s clear he really gets us. You can head over to RWW for the full article, but here are some significant highlights:

  • Sensr.net processes 1.1 terabytes of data every day
  • We’re growing ~15% every month in cameras
  • 20% conversion rate from Fremium to Premium plans
  • Sensr.net is smart about storing data, saving 1/10th of the video uploaded
  • Sensr.net makes Richard MacManus’s spidey senses tingle!

Thanks for the wonderful article, and as usual, thanks to our great users for helping us continue to grow.

Can the camera info I entered for the built-in camera I set up with Sensr help me find my stolen MacBook Pro? When I set up this camera, I know I enabled web reporting in the process – today my baby was stolen from my car. My life is on it. Can…you help me view the video? I think my problem was I didn’t have a paid plan. …Can you help me find my mac based on the IP address, the MAC (what ever that is) or any other identifying information that was logged in when the camera was set up? Any other ideas???? Anybody smarter than me (there’s a real wide field there) have a suggestion?
Thank you in advance for setting your sights on conquering evil in the world. One Mac at at a time.

Sorry to hear about your Mac getting stolen!

What software were you using on the Mac to send the images to Sensr.net? If it’s setup to run automatically, then it should still send images to our site and you should be able to see them by logging in.

If it’s still sending images to us, we’ll also be able to tell you the IP address of the computer. Do you see any recent images when you log in?

If you want to follow up, you can continue the email support thread rather than publicly here in our blog!
